I'm not too sad. I hope they total it so I can move on. It was needing a fair amount of work and I'd rather have a gasser up here in this cold country.

I hope you don't have the same issue I did! Make sure the lines seat fully.
I checked the surface where you had the machining issue for the line seat and they looked ok. We will see later this week when I get a chance to put them on .
Got my new starter yesterday. Hopefully get it installed tonight after work and bring my sleeping beast back to life.
Swapped in my new starter. Had to drill out the top half of the bolt holes a little to get the bolts to line up with the block holes. Works good . Cranks lots faster. Changed my oil and the primary fuel filter. Napa didn't have the secondary in stock and it doesn't have too many miles on it so I figure it's ok for now. Installed the brake line adapters and swapped line positions on the master. It still locks up the rear brakes first, I did a 360 and ended up halfway in the ditch in front of my house tonight. We got about a foot of snow today and it's nice and slick out. I'll have to plumb in my adjustable prop valve and turn down the rear brakes.
I hauled a load of firewood in my blazer recently and made a mess of the carpet. That got me thinking about removing the carpet under the rear seat to the rear of the cargo area and on top of the wheel wells and having it done in Linex. For any of you who have done it would this make the interior alot noisier and colder? I am not afraid to use this like a truck for hauling stuff so I'm thinking it will be a good option.
Gotcha! Just considering it since I already cut holes in both for my shock towers and I could just gut it out and box them in with sheet metal and have it sprayed or reinstall carpet afterwards.
carpet makes a big difference in noise.
I broke my DD so I am back to driving the blazer for a while.
I needed to get my brakes working correctly since they were pretty unsafe on these icy roads they have around here. I cut my rear brake hard line and flared it and installed my adjustable prop valve. It was ten turns from full open to all the way out. I adjusted and test drove and had to turn it out 8 turns to get the rear to stop trying to pass the front on ice. The front end dives pretty good on dry pavement in a panic stop but I can always turn the rear back up once winter ends.
My tip of the day: don't relearn how to flare brake lines when it's 9 degrees out and you are working outside. It turned out good with no leaks though. I screwed up a few til I watched a YouTube video and got some tips. I also adjusted my transfer case linkage and I think I got it to stop coming out of 4hi.

My 4hi does the same thing. Pop's out under a load. I really hardly ever use 4hi, but there are a couple situations where I'd like to use it. How far out of adjustment was it?
My linkage was barely out, like I didn't think it was the problem but I shortened it up about 1/8" if that. I will have to do some more driving in 4 hi to make sure it's fixed. I just popped it in for a few miles with my hubs unlocked and it didn't fall out like it was before. @GWeakland620 do you work for lkq?

Any leads on a bw1354 manual shift tcase for a 95 mazda/ranger and the shifter and linkage? I need to call my local salvage yard and see what they have. My electric shift one split the rear case and its stuck in 2 wd low some how.
Our North LV yard has one. 97k miles on it.
