thats about all ive got done so far except for fluid and filter changes and replaced the starter and heat blanketed it.

Stuff still to come

i have a K20 sitting here with a old 6.2 in it that i will be using parts from. the hydroboost will go in, 3/4 ton axles after i lock them and disc the rear, half doors, the spot light will go in the blazer.

i picked up a new ford windstar dual fan setup from work

dual battery setup i will put in

have plans for a different style of custom home made dash

build a rear winch bumper with swing out

looking for a good pickup tailgate

cross over steering, 52" springs front and shackle flip rear

all the usual little stuff

I have heard about the problems that people have had with the 700R4 and the torque converter lock-up, so I just kept it out of overdrive till I installed a tach. Looks like the lock-up is working fine in mine. I still want to go to a bigger trans cooler, preferably one with the built in fan, and a trans temp guage.

This won't be any fast build, I don't have a lot of extra money and I have my first kid due in february. Right now I'm working on making everything mechanically sound and safe.

to check function of the lockup, get to OD and lightly depress the brake. enough to turn the lights on basically. then the rpm should raise a few hundred. that means it just unlocked and is functioning properly.

Ya I just had to get the tach in to see the RPM's move, the exhaust is pretty quiet and I couldn't tell the difference in sound over the road noise. After I put the tach in I took it to my buddy who owns a tranny shop and had him look it over. All good.

Good thing is if the 700R4 craps out, I have a TH400 sittin in the shop ready to go in.

good thing too is if you use a th400/fig8 205 with a HAD flange rear output and a stock superduty front driveshaft with a 14bff it all bolts in.

havnt really done anything to the blazer for a while now, just driving it to and from work and replaced a few parts here and there for up keep. but i did get something done on it today.

*dont pay attention to the hay, i use this thing like its a truck*

it took two people to roll the window up and down so i just left it down since i was in and out of there to much by myself. plus the latch was a pain being on the inside and when you have bales of hay against the latch it makes it kinda hard to open.

you can see here that chevy made the blazers with all the nessecary bolt holes for a pickup tailgate to bolt on.

and it was just that simple, unbolt one, bolt the other one on.
