I just started ordering parts for my build today. I have ordered the following.
L92 with 6L80
Motor came from a 2013 AWD Escalade, 17k miles
Motor is complete with original harness and computer

NP205 Round 6 Bolt with 1"5/8" spacer from moonshine madness

DakotaDigital Chevy Pickup VHX Instruments
Fueltank from a 87 k5
Fuelpump from a 91 Corvette

Looking for information on the following:
How to modify the wiring harness?
Where to purchase motor mounts?
Will i need any other mounting hardware, crossmember etc....

Looking forward to the responses. Will post pictures once i get started.

Harness info can be found at lt1swap.com. Motor mounts can be bought from carshopinc.com or dirtydingo.com. Crossemebers should be fine but the rear one will likely need moved back.

I'm buying the motor from Steve at RetroLSX in Georgia. He called me today and said when he was packing my motor up he noticed some oil under the motor and found a small crack in the block. Steve refunded my money and told me he would find me another motor. Kind of bummed out for the delay but I guess I will find one soon enough.

As for needing vss from the transfer case, I'm not sure about this. From what I have read is you don't need it as it can be handled through programming. Please let me know if this is incorrect.

Thank you for the info on the motor mounts and wiring harness.

I believe somewhere on the interwebs Ive seen a VSS kit for a 205. Even if not theres plenty of cable to signal converters.

You will either need an advanced adapters trans to tcase adapter with integrated vss or figure out a way to mount on in the tcase. An inline cable driven vss sensor will not run your trans properly, regardless of programming. Been down that road [emoji6]

That's why I suggested the NP241 with the VSS. Why not run a better transfer case, that already has a VSS?

yup this is what is used for my swap. 4l60 to 208. The adapter makes the 4l60 a 4 bolt 700r4.

Advanced adapters. I don't remember the part number since it's been over 4 years since I did the ls swap.

i've got an advanced adapters set up to, but mine is for a 4l60e to an NP205. The VSS sensors are located in the adapter. The kit was pricey, bout $700, but you need VSS...

gotta call em and they can set you up.

subscribed, and welcome to another LS swapper.
