84 cucv m1009 “ The Camper Crawler”

Full frame off, 12valve Cummins swapped cucv.
Some unsolicited advice? Do this, it will make the transition from cab to camper much better.
I spent most of the day gluing, screwing, stapling, and drilling. I was not looking forward to cutting the top but it turned out to not be so bad.

I vacuumed out the back of the K5, I think some of these places have not been vacuumed since 77.

I started to clean all of the sealant off of the top in preparation to install rubber roofing. This is going to take a while.

I’m going to build an all aluminum flange that bolts to the cab opening and uses factory gaskets to seal it. So the cab opening will not have any restrictions on movement

Are u going to use treated wood at the truck,and I would put a curved top so water would run off just 1" would help out a lot,1"foam for insulation?,nice start so far
