Thanks! It’s marine plywood. I’m covering it in marine epoxy and bonding aluminum to it.

Yes I’m workIng outside. I only have a two stall and need to cut and weld in garage. I want to get main rails added and front bulk head bolted so I can bring it in garage and finish welding off blazer.

Sweet truck! I just read through the thread and the whole time I was thinking, “I can’t see him rock crawling this truck after all the aesthetic effort.” Any plans for sliders at the rocker panels or did I just miss that part?

I’ve been kicking around the idea of building up a wheeler for thrashing on, but it’ll start out ugly and stay ugly, lol.

After taking my truck down to the frame and investing countless hours to preserve it from the elements, it’s going to be a camping/hunting/fishing/mild trail rig. I’ve had my eyes peeled for a pop top camper for a while, but have considered building one like you’re doing to.

Anyway, I totally respect the amount of time and effort you put into this truck and look forward to seeing how the camper turns out.

Thanks man!

Yep she’s going to be a wheeler. I would rather fix dents then rust any day of the year.

I really need to unfollow this thread. My wife is gonna kill me for all the ideas its giving me. Really stunning work my friend.

Sorry i missed the opportunity on the soft top. I woulda snatched it up. But now you have my gears turning for a camper too.... Damn you!!!

Just for curiosities sake (I'm just starting to teach myself how to weld), are you using a MIG with a spool gun and flux core wire, or TIG welding?

I’m using a mig with a spool gun for the frame running pure argon and 4043 wire. I will be using my tig also for the thinner metal and intricate stuff.
