84 cucv m1009 “ The Camper Crawler”

Full frame off, 12valve Cummins swapped cucv.
No fasteners are required with that 3m tape? Is that aluminum, fiberglass or...?
Panels are powder coated aluminum. The 3M tape is used for holding high rise windows and used on trailer builds with no fasteners. The corner trim will have rivets or screws once I get them made. I honestly would need an air chisel to pull this stuff off. It’s not going anywhere.

If you ever use it be sure you’re in the spot you want it because it will never come off after it’s bonded lol.

That’s pretty slick. What’s the 3m product called?

That looks awesome dude. Way to go. Taking notes for the time I finally reskin mine. Well done!
Thanks man! I ordered one giant piece of black powder coated aluminum from the local stock car shop in town. Should have pop up roof done on weekend.

Did u use the 3-m prep too, when I seen the foam,it was like the foam mock-up HLS truck we are working on now,we use this 3m tape.20210114_113648.jpg

Up to the point you are at is the part that is straightforward to me. The part I’ll battle is the “canvas” pop up top thing. I’m interested to see where you go with that part.

Don't forget the 14.25"x14.25"power vent hole. that black siding looks so nice,,,are u going to build to sell them, thats one hell of a job u are .diong

Thank you! I’m going to cut all the holes for windows and power vent after everything is in. Yes I’m really considering about making these for the blazer crowd .

Wow. Just ran across this build and just finished reading the whole thing this morning and you have done some killer work on your rig. I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours looks lol.
