84 K20 "Ethel" Not an Sbc/NV4500/241C

Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
Forget the cracks and just turbo it and put it back together and run it til something bad happens. Fill the block most of the way with block filler (like Heath Diesel does?) and just go with it. Maybe some kind of main girdle. Just pretend you are a high school kid again and drive it. Or get a 6.5 for cheap. Boo to the LS swap.

Ok I'll answer all these questions best I can. The truck is a daily first and a tow rig second, it'll tow max 7500-8k which I feel should be fine. Worst case I change the gears to land in the middle for this purpose but not to kill my hwy mileage.
Second, the engine is a 2012 LMG, it's a full pull out with harness and all accessories.

Didn't realize this was a daily driver, thought you had a E30 for that. I've towed 7-8K several times with my 5.3/4L60E/4.10:1 geared Tahoe and it's a bit of a struggle.

It only has to do that sometimes, I am way less worried about this towing now than with the 6.2 and that did it begrudgingly..
