Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup.
5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.
Dingo mounts showed up also.
Holy crap! look at that factory paint on those framerails. All those east cost and rust belt guys are prob crying right now. I sure know I would have loved to have a truck that rust free when I was in WI. Stuff out here in ID and UT isn't bad for me. What's next? Strip out all the diesel specific stuff?

pull the whole rad support at least. For the swap he's doing, the whole clip would be off.
I've never had rotten framerails in any of my old chevys. The oil leaks make it hard for rust to start normally
I usually do, I actually swiped the rad pretty good. It didn't crack it but still, I was rushing because of the time. Idiot move..
Well.. being a cheap ass I tend to lean toward screw it I'll make it vs yea let's spend 300$... 4 hours later!

In between the rails Sunday?
I need to test fit it so prob in rails Friday night! I have mounts already. So I'll likely plop the trans and case in the truck this week to prep for the test fit.
I test fitted mine probably 8 times before it finally got set in!!
That's why I didn't even do it once and bought the cheater bellhousing
I wish I could have afforded to do that. It's so tight right now I don't even know for sure if I'll get it running .. I'll sure try my damndest
How did you spend 4 hours drilling 4 holes? You must be more careful than I am.
And you kept the mechanical BH?
He's less cockeyed than I am. I wanted a little extra safety clearance at the bottom left hole, so mine is deliberately 1/8" off of square (or so).
