Semi restoration of a 1984 K20 pickup. 5.3 LS, nv4500, np241c.

Yours must be the sequentially shifted, straight cut gears NV4500...:D

Got busy as soon as I got home, fabricated an exhaust system. We'll see how this works, it may be temporary if it causes probs. I have plans for a heat shield should that pose an issue, also ordered some stuff from intakehoses.com and was very surprised to see these rubber elbows are made in USA!! Very good!
I am going to have to get longer battery cables to the driver side battery tray so I can eventually go back to my oem air box for the 5.3 and the main reason is getting air from the fender and the ease of service.

I ended up using a Spectre intake set-up after beating my head against the wall trying to make the stock stuff work (well). Also went with a driver's side batt tray and removed the passenger side one. My air filter now resides in that corner...
 
Yeah i think my gas blazer only has two. Pink coil wire and a tan w black stripe I have running my choke and fuel pump.
 
We'll the maiden voyage did not go well, I put the driver side o2 back in and I must be bad, i almost didn't make it home, cause it to go into a limp mode.
I had the wideband in there so I get to pull exhaust back out drill hole for bung and weld in another so I can run the wideband with the stock o2s..
