Check this out, seems as though the loss isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. Plus this unit doesn’t have the oem converter. So that’ll help.
I’m not worried about it because it’ll be so much nicer to cruise around and drive to work. I could stack 2 transmissions in front and back and it would still be light years better than a 6.2 D

my 60 preference was because of the gutless 5.3 more than anything. Like I said, if you're going to do a power adder I get the 80 move you made.

Ok found a solid 4l80 with a 2600 stall circle d converter, it has the dual fed clutch mod and some other trinkets. AN cooler lines to a plate cooler.
Should have mine out Saturday and this one on its way and in and done before Xmas.
Sounds like a solid plan.

not very torquey hence the reason why the 60 gears are what they are.....
If I was brave I woulda sprung for the 6l80/90 but I didn’t want to blow up my brain with shift adaptive and all that mumbl jumbo.. that’s got a 4 something first..

yeah I hear ya. I bet they're fun but NOT cheap.

I think even if you kept it bone stock with a stockish tune the 80 would be a wise choice simply because of your driving style. :burnout:
