84CUCV
3/4 ton status
not mine. here is some about it. call 410 733 7740 names is jed
It's a former military CUCV that was repainted outside by the previous owner (currently blue with a white top). The odometer has rolled over once as best as I can tell. It runs great, no smoke at all, no burning oil. It has been converted to 12V, single alternator, as well as manual self-limiting glowplugs. 4x4 is good, the tranny shifts great, some rust but nothing too bad. since I have owned it:
normal maintenance (oil changes, coolant flush, etc)
replaced water pump
replaced harmonic balancer
replaced crankshaft pulley
flushed out and replaced brake fluid (fresh DOT 5, $$$)
replaced lower radiator hose
converted to single alternator, 12V using the Fire Brigade specs (all new fusible links too)
replaced all glow plugs with new self limiting ones and added jumper button
replaced starter bolts and support bracket (previous owner used the wrong ones, I cleaned up the threads in the block, bought a new support bracket and all new bolts)
new voltmeter (military one didn't work for 12V)
added stereo and two dash speakers, antenna
and lots of other smaller things
I used it as a daily driver, but I am in the military and getting ready to deploy again soon for a long while, I don't want it to go to crap sitting until next year, so I want to sell it to a good home.
