CCC will have a three wire TPS plug on drivers side front of carb, faces forward (and IIRC, slightly downward). As far as I remember, nothing but CCC got TPS. Can't necessarily use the MCS to ID a CCC carb (plug on passenger front top of carb) as there were various other things used in that location. Even guys that know CCC typically don't know much about the truck abominations. Some of the truck setups are fairly rare, I've seen I think one non-CCC truck carb that had one of the odd valves/wiring where the MCS was on the CCC carbs. US GM *cars* got CCC starting in 1981, and as I understand it, that was all cars. Trucks it started in '84, maybe '83 AFAIK.

More complex than fuel injection, and none of the benefits.
I'm converting my '85 Cutlass over to EFI and have just started digging back into it. Kind of neat about CCC is that much of the wiring is already there for EFI...Baro/MAP sensor, CTS, TPS, ECM controlled distributor, etc. I assume with a little bit of thought, you could use existing CCC wiring for much of a TBI swap. If I'm lucky, the car and the truck fuse panels will swap though, as I grabbed a complete '89 K5 harness that I intend to use in it.

Originally a 305 truck as well?
