A buddies buddy is going to buy it for $500, its still in good running shape and i had worked all the bugs out of it, only 134,000 miles. i think i did pretty good on it.

Oh very nice!!! I wish I could get rid of that freekin 305. I put it on CL for like $100, i mean come on, its prolly worth almost that in scrap with the copper/brass radiator and I put those edelbrock aluminum valve covers in with it and the manifolds and everything!! NO TAKERS!!!

Thanks guys they do look pretty slick. well no pics but the 6.2 is out, gunna pull the a/c off the firewall and trim down the harness tomorrow. if all goes well should have the new motor set in tomorrow night.

355 is in! went pretty good no big hiccups. time to put all the goodies on. in the first pic of the mock up of the 355, those are the valve covers after they were blasted but before painted red...

Did you swap in a gas torque converter?
I know they are different between gas engines and a 6.2, not exactly sure how it would behave though.

well a gas convertor behind a Diesel acts like a Stall convertor lol

Wouldnt a diesel converter just stall at a really low RPM with a small block then?

ive got a set of fel pro header gaskets now, well see how good they are. yes i put a gas torque convertor in it. Im gunna leave the diesel governor in it for now and see how it acts, if i dont like it then ill get a gas one, o i also put a gas vacuum modulator in it too. them valve covers are gunna look saweet on the motor
The diesel torque converter is gonna make the 355 feel s l o w......... Put the correct converter in now, you will be MUCH happier!
