CA '85 K20 Suburban moved from Twentynine Palms Ca to Indian Head Md

Buy a bluetooth speaker big enough to be heard LOL
Worth the cost when you're talking about driving that many miles.
Might even save money after spending money on lower gears, like 3.08s hahaha

At least you can sleep in a burb...

Watch a couple roadkills to get you motivated...

The truck finally made it last night, and got stuck turning onto a dirt road. He had to sit there until 10am today for a wrecker to come pull him out and then finally load the suburban. When I retire from the Corps in three years I’m going to buy a truck and start hauling vehicles, I think there is a niche market for hauling 4x4 vehicles and actually showing up on time.

I drive a big rig, and if I didn't want to stay local now I would be doing just that.
Car hauler truck and trailer are not cheap but they can make a lot of money if you are willing to drive all over the country

I grew up with trucking and my dad runs grain in the midwest so I'm familiar with the expense. I might be wrong but customer service brings in business. This shipper changed the pickup date three times which meant three wasted days for my buddy holding the suburban. We could build a pony express system, each driver only doing 600 or so miles before passing the rig off to another guy or swapping drivers. Coast to coast in four days and everyone stays localish!

I have been dreaming of finding people to do this for 15 years.
Fedex does that, they have hubs 300 miles apart and the drivers can go and come back home same day.
Maybe this where we will find the people.
We start one lane east West and go from there

I dig it and it needs to be done.
I have been in business for 12 years and I have been getting clients and dropping others no one has dropped me once.
I am always early never late.
Always deliver even when I break down.
If we do this we can do good I know some people in different states but not enough to do a good chain

I'd be down to do this in 3 years when I retire. I have drove all the way from Meadow Texas to Huntsville Alabama to pick up a buggy before :screwy:

I have been all over the country for 10 years.
I will do it for fun but never again for work. I am doing fine working close to home.

make sure you verify the roof is still clean when it gets at the end of the trip . we just had a shipper try and scam us for one they screwed up .

So far I've had two brokers fail to get the Suburban moved, and I am working with a third. If they fail I will be taking 10 days of leave, flying back there and then attempting to drive it back. 2500 miles screaming at 60mph, no radio, should be an adventure!.
I just had a transport company move my my truck and a small car for 2600. Ill get you the number if you want. They went from twentynine palms CA to Knoxville TN.
