Who are you going through? I got a few $1200 quotes on UShip.com as well but I learned the hard way the shippers won't book the load for that price. I'd call a broker directly and tell them to put it on the board for $1400 which will be about $1600 out of pocket but it gets it on the truck.

we do a lot of pickup's of vehicle and bring them to our yard for these people . then there prefered contract hauler semi shows up and loads it and goes . seem to be o.k. for the most part . they pay there bills with us . just sent 3 out in the last week alone .
