85 K5 Bogger

What gearing do those have? I don't know much about these axles so hope you don't mind if I ask some ?s from time to time lol :D

It's pretty damn low, 7.something by the time you multiply the diff gearing by the hubs.

Are these the same style as the ones Dave posted? Those were like 7.8 I think. Way too cool those gears behind that BBC should make that thing a pretty narly bogger! :D

Same axles out of the same family of trucks.

Always wondered what you were doing with those axles.

My gear ratio is 7.1:1. Which I think is the most common.

To start I will do a brake off the tcase most likely. This will give me time for some debug work on it while I work out some wheel brakes.

The 2wd TH400 is in place.

All old brackets are off the rear axle and the welded dif is ready to go back in.

Looking like driveline angles are going to be great.
With the divorced case and it also being a drop case, if I were to keep the 14 bolt... driveshafts would be almost horizontal.
So, adding a little lift and the axles... driveshafts will work out with minimal angle.

Compared to the back, there is still 15 more inches of tire to go on it.

The fronts are only 265 16s.
