'85 K5 - what trucks to look for to get 16 or 17 inch wheels?

Looking to swap over to 16 or 17 inch rims for better tire selections.

What trucks should I look for that would work on my '85 K5. Never looked for half ton wheels before.

most half tons in our truck era all use 15" wheels unless it was a 3/4ton then you get 16" wheels. but you can shop around and im sure u can find some for your truck.

you can buy some steelies for 50 a piece at summit. just something to consider

some of the tacomas had 16" wheels stock and have the same bolt pattern, not sure on backspacing though. probably be cheaper just to buy some black steelies though

I want to go to a 16 inch wheel for better tire choices.

Price is a concern, but I am not necessarily looking to get the cheapest possible.

I would like to pick up a set that someone has swapped out for a larger rim. Can usually be had pretty cheap too, $100 a set or so. See all kinds on craigslist... but I want to make sure they will fit correctly.

Price is good for new wheels. Just dont really like the look of them.

You might be better off going for 17s right away.
There aren't that many selections in 16.

You are probably right... I will extend my search to include 17s.
