Hello everyone my name is Mike, I'm doing my first ls 5.3 swap on my son's 90 jimmy full size. Along with a 4l60 and the NP208 that came with the vehicle it should have a 241 but was replaced long ago. I would appreciate any help, tips ect.. there are a few things missing 1. Tc crossmember (small foot) and the shifter and linkage also the front drive shaft. Pic's to follow. I've been reading the forum for a while and finally decided to join. Looks like a great community with lots of knowledge and experience.
I'm currently driving an old GMC Jimmy that has seen better days, but I'm slowly bringing it back to life one weekend at a time. There is always something to repair, upgrade, or improve, but that's part of the fun, right?
I'm especially interested in engine swaps, suspension upgrades, and off-road builds. Hopefully I'll be able to share some progress photos soon.
Looking forward to learning from you all and maybe helping someone else along the way.
