Thanks,

Finally some one caught that:bow:

Yep, the Ford D60 knuckles are of lighter design than the Chevys knuckles and tend to break more easily. Especially when used with high steer and I'll be going full hydro so that is even more force applied. Better safe than sorry:D

yea I have heard about furd knuckles being weak, so you added a curved plate to the front and side? how about on the back?

Yep, we added 3 pieces, front, back and outside towards the tire. I think Kert has better pictures of it.

what material thickness? and how did you bend the plates to match the contours?

Nope, don't need that. At least I don't remember using it.

Stomper and I are hoping major fabrication will be done by Next Saturday. Not too much more to do and if the shop schedule allows will finish it. So, bout 2 more years and it will be done!:haha:

As a side note, are knuckles cast or forged? I thought they were cast...which means that plating took a lot more time and effort than I previously realized.

Cast. It isn't to bad to do. We did mine the same way and they were a little slower but I think we got the knack of it now.

If you'd help every once in a while it might get done faster:laugh:
