Just had to subscribe. I was considering a 4bt swap, but haven't had time to do it. Sweet rig, can't wait to see it finished.:D

Hey Brett, you got any more photos that haven't been posted in this thread as of yet?

No photo updates but we've brought this build back to life.

Alot of things changed when the 49's went on and the 6BT went in up front. Brett and I spent the day on it yesterday just sorting out where things were and what was left that needed to be done. Everybody in the shop was chippin' in on it here and there and things were moving along pretty smoothly.

There was some sheetmetal work in the cab that needed to be finished up. Most of it was clearance for the Exhaust off the back of the turbo. Fire wall was closed up. Few things left in this dept. Got a cab corner to put in. Small chunk of factory sheet metal to pu in by the drivers door.

Finished up a rear drive shaft. Front needs a yoke for the 60 and then its ready to go in.

Started a fuel tank mount but didn't have time to finish that last night.

Got a set of rims beadlocked and painted up. Need to cut the outers yet. Those we'll do with 3/8" thick aluminum and hope to cut them today. Then the 49's can go back in place. There are alot of things to do that we need the 49's on there for checking clearances. The rear shocks no longer clear so those are being redone.

Today I hope to install the full hydro ram mount and all the links for the steering. Gona try and finsh off the fuel tank mounting as well. Got to have that done before I can look at options for the radiator mounting. It is going to be in the rear now as opposed to the front. The 4BT to 6BT swap has forced this change.

If we get a chance we'll snap some photos at some point, for now, i'll just keep posting the updates as we go along.

Awesome guys! :thumb:

What happened to the 4bt?

Not a thing. It was removed in favor of the 6bt when the 49's went on. The 49's were cause for quite a bit of redesign.

Crazy to see progress on this again!

Yep, it is kinda crazy. It's always been here. Stomper has been busy with other things and so have I so it has set to the side patiently waiting. Now with the shop reorganization and other changes we've made.... it is high time this one gets finished off.

Couple big hurdles to overcome but I have some plans.

I'll try to snap a few photos this weekend. Just nothing hugely interesting right now.
