You're a prick Mr Dunn. You know its a steal at $4200 even in its current condition.

Re: 86 Chevy Blazer FS or trade!!!

Dude, If I wasn't in the same position as you, I'd be all over it. The parts on that truck are worth much more than that asking price. Frankly it makes me very sad that we're both selling our rigs. Every time I go out to see my K5, I start it and drive it a little, and I get almost choked up about it. A lot of blood and sweat were lost over that truck, and a few more cold cold nights in the driveway. Man, I've built and sold quite a few trucks, but none have hit me like selling this one and seeing you sell yours. Cause it isn't just the damn truck you know. I kindled the best friendship I've ever had while working on that truck, and now it isn't the same. Just isn't the [darn] same....no matter how you look at it.

So....I was a prick. Sorry. Usually being a prick is the only way I know how to be in public.

Rough ain't it?

So what about you Brent? Are you getting out of wheeling for a while too?

Re: 86 Chevy Blazer FS or trade!!!

Yep, Need to do some things to the house and am getting into hunting and fishing with the kids. And spending more time with my lab. Alot of money sitting there in the truck to only use a few times a year. And I sure like the comforts in the new trucks for DD.

Re: 86 Chevy Blazer FS or trade!!!

makes sense. We just got a contract on a house that's about a mile from Lake Texoma, so I'm hoping to do a lot around the house and buy a boat in a couple years...seems like a more family involved project for a while anyway. I'll get a 4x4, but I do miss the creature comforts of the CTD as well...maybe I can get a 4wd version of that this next go around.

Yep... you probably have something there Wayne. We recently fell into a small pocket of change though thats allowing us to do the improvements to the house that need to be done, so no need to get cash. Simple fact is, the city I live in HATES the K5 but I just have to have something I can wrench on... so the Camaro/Mustang route is perfect since they're more used to all that non-sense than big jacked up trucks on 42s that are "trail modified"!

I just hope the price gets people looking at it now! Someone better steal this thing for $4200... /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Screw the neighbors! Do like me, I'm slowly hunting a 2wd K5 to pro street. Then I have the choise to go fast or slow and do either in a K5. I might wind up with a 4wd and convert it though. BTW my neighbors own a 66 Chevelle, tubbed out Nova, a hopped up late 70's Z28, and the guy that owns the Nova is working on a pro street 69 Camaro. Just a few black marks on the streets around here.

My neighbors all DESPISE my beat rusty toyota thats sitting on jackstands in the driveway right now, but you know what i have to say about it? [darn] em.

If i had the cash i would jump on this in a heartbeat, hell, its selling for cheaper than what my bone stock 85 cost me!.

Re: 86 Chevy Blazer FS or trade!!!

You can't be missing anything. My guess is that you guys (you, bryan and brent) are all trying to sell to people that already have a K5. Have you tried local papers, Ebay or other free internet advertising places.
If I didn't already have mine and was looking for a 4x4 I wouldn't hesitate to buy it
