'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Also, does that front shaft look like longer than factory splines? Either way it’s double cardigan, and maybe it’s longer so I can use it after I clock the case.

So first of all, who put those tags on this build? Lol @Bent77 @F.S.F.W

Secondly. This thing is now on a trickle charge. I want it running by the weekend.

Going to start with a new base tune and go from there. After I get a decent tune, it’s back to wiring. Then on to new shock hoops and actually wheeling it.

So I think @F.S.F.W got me motivated to get going somewhere on this thing. Got home after work and spent some time with timing. Got it running pretty decent, but I have coolant in my oil and a nice oil leak on the back of the block. I think I messed up my intake gaskets :doah::1zhelp::dunno:

Seems like 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Ok so some good news today.

1. The oil contamination was from the detergent I put in to free up a stuck/ticking lifter.

2. Coolant blow out was from an air pocket forcing antifreeze out.

New plan is to figure out my oil leak from the back of the block and throw a timing light at it to get it timed better.

Screw the oil leak...:D

My blazer leaks pretty much every type of fluid that's in the dumb thing...and I don't give a shiz. I just top fluids off before I head out to beat on it. Actually, the leaks mean I still have fluid in the dumb thing :haha:

I would, but the oil leak is a steady stream from the oil sending unit area. I'm ascared of fires.
