'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
New found wheels are to update the diesel.

New found 37's are for street use on the crawler. Yes, they may end up on the diesel to see how they look lol.
I understood what you were talking about 3 posts ago. Understanding and it making sense are not necessarily the same thing.

The aluminum wheels are going on the diesel. The 37's are for the Jimmy so I don't ruin my 40's. The stupid thing would be to throw nice aluminum wheels that are for a different project on to a beat up rock crawler project.

So...why not take the unwanted steel wheels left over from the diesel and put them with the 37s?

3 sets of wheels, 3 sets of tires. Sell or dispose of the unwanted 5-lug wheels and the old worthless tires and live happily ever after.

Yep, Beags conversation actually sparked that idea. Not sure it’s a good idea to put 13.50 wide tires on a 6.5 steel wheels, but it’s worth a try.

Throw on the rusty wheels you have and put the aluminum on the diesel

I’ve done it. It works fine.

Once I had a set of 12.50” wide tires on a set of 6.5” wide wheels, and I pulled a guy off of a ledge who was spinning his double bead lock wheels inside of his tires.

Was that after your truck played submarine?

I couldn’t remember if you had camper special wheels or not. May just go that route then.

Yes it was.

Checked off 2 things on the list tonight. Nothing huge, but trying to at least do one thing a night. Had to work on the wife’s Tahoe first.

Fuel system can get a done stamp now.

Vacuum line ran for the brake booster. Just ran a 90* into the back of the intake where the factory plug was.

Then threw the cover back on to see how close I’m getting for motivation.

They very well could have been from a Camper Special, I don’t remember where they came from.

You are probably talking about the stupid 16.5” x 9.75” wheels that people incorrectly call “camper special”?

Ordering a truck with the Camper Special option did not include 16.5” x 9.75” wheels.

In fact in a few years it made the truck unavailable with the 9.75” wheels.

Ah I remember you saying something about that now.

Anyone know what these 2 sub harnesses are for?

I know this is for the injectors, but my intake already has that harness still on it.

Short one looks like a coil harness.

The long one with heat shielding looks like it could go to the starter solenoid and maybe pre-cat o2 sensors. But that's a guess since I can't see the terminal ends.
