This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.

It was a hard decision at first but I figured if I did it to look decent it would be ok and I am not one of those guys who just wants to sit and look at my vehicle for fear of damaging it, I'd rather be using it and having fun. Those were my thoughts as well, and then I just got careless. I don't want perfect.

I've seen those. Not a terrible idea.
 
Perfect is hard to wheel. But decent and still drivable isn't. Didn't intend to start the whole make it look nice conversation.

Just don't want my wheel wells looking like someone took a torch to them

Glad to see this thread get brought back up. It'll look good having some straight fenders on here again. I enjoyed the drive by brail approach in my F150 for awhile but now wishing I hadn't used as much skinny pedal most times.

Also a bit off topic but sadly I likely won't see you at Disney this year. We're going to Howiepalooza at SMORR instead it turns out.

We are skipping BMR this year as well. Time, money and lack of desire to mess with the crowd are all factors. We are thinking maybe a trip later in the year when it's warmer.
 
Greg, I don't blame you for wanting your truck to look good. I never would have done my body swap if I wasn't concerned about how the truck looked. It would have been cheaper. easier, and less time consuming for me to just weld some more steel in and call it a day. I wanted the truck to look good though. Sure, it burns me that now the doors are dented, but that's a part of wheeling, and that's why I bought tube doors :pimp:
 
I do like my truck to at least look descent. It is a source of pride after all the work a fella puts into it. Unfortunately most of it is unseen.
 
That's a matter of perspective for sure.

My new wheels will be white and black. oh the horror I know.....:D
 
So a guy at work wants to buy my x-over steering stuff and my steering box that's set up for hydro assist for $250. My buddy that owns Hired Gun said he can get me an orbital for a little less. I've always dreamed of going full hydro, so why am I nervous about doing it now?
