'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
What did you overheat?

Haven't overheated yet. Haven't even got it running yet. I've just crammed a lot more exhaust heat into that corner of the hood where fuel lines, brake lines, and starter wiring are all trying to coexist. Increasing risk, as I said.

During mockup tonight the stock starter wiring routed through where the new exhaust is going. So I'm moving and modifying things to make room.

Ran to the local AN fitting store (really it’s a belt and hose store, but they carry AN fittings too) and picked up a new fitting for the TB and an extra 45* elbow for some mock up. Been using this long section of rubber line to find good routes. I like the way this is going to work out. Now just to get some heat shield and start laying it down for real.

So I ran into a hiccup this week and tons of stuff to do every night, but we have some free time opening up the next couple nights and the long weekend to maybe get this thing running.

As you can see the adapter I bought the other night did not seat all the way into the port, it's due to it being a course thread instead of a fine thread. I didn't notice until I tried to tighten it. Went by yesterday on my lunch and got the correct fitting. Waiting on fuel line heat shield to get here tomorrow, then I'm going to run lines and finish vacuum lines. Then I wait for some spacers to throw on the 4D's.

Lordy lordy, look who’s on 4D’s!!!!

My machinist buddy surprised me yesterday with my rear spacers! Picked up the studs last night and already had the nuts from whoknowswhat previous project. Threw a coat of paint on them this morning then bolted them up. Man I’m pumped now!!!

Not orange?

Your 40's are almost as tall as the fender on the Silverado. Does that mean the tires are that tall or the Silverado is that low? Either way both are pretty cool. Can't wait to see the Jimmy in action.
