I got an vortec 454 out of a medium duty truck once like that. It was just a long block. Spun a rod bearing. The core on the gm replacement was like $200. I snagged it and never ended up even paying the core charge. Nice job on you!

Didn't know they made those square ones. Looks like they would bite really good. ThanksYeah get a little PB Blaster down around the threads and an EZ Out should get it. I like the square kind. They seem to grab better than the backwards twist ones.
