'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Currently fighting a ground issue. No power to the fuel pump. Think I might have missed some grounds on the back of the block.

You must not have been nasty enough when talking to it. Think of Happy Gilmore when he missed the putt. "You want to start and run don't you? Why won't you run you monkey loving piece of sh*t!" Ect.

Yep, 2 grounds missed on the back of the heads. Now the fuel pump is running nonstop whether the key is on or off. Need to figure that out.

If zero grounds is too little pump, and two grounds is too much pump, clearly one ground is the correct answer. :waytogo:

Welp, good and bad news.

Bad news, I ran out of gas and my boys are asleep. So no more start attempts tonight with open manifolds.

Good news is, it fired off for a second! I thought there was fuel in the tank still, but that proved to not be the case.

I’ll fire it up again tomorrow and grab a video.
