The temp has a sensor that I put behind the grill. Compass is integrated into the mirror, to calibrate, press the buttons and drive in some circles.
I looked for one that had lights, temp and direction. Couldn't find one that had all three. It was a pick two situation.
Wiring is ran up the A-pillar with some P-clips tucked into the windshield gasket.
I've actually been driving this to work the last few weeks when the roads are clean. Had to replace a heater hose the other day, but other than that it's been smooth sailing.
