Got the 305 out monday now I'm just waiting on a good day to drop the 4.8 in it...

So does that mean the LS engine is the choice?

Yup, said screw it I'm going to put the motor I want in it. I flopped back and forth on the 6.2 diesel and the 4.8, the 4.8 will be a better all around choice once it's in and everything is done.

Yeah. With the work you'd have to do to go FI SBC, propane anything, or the diesel it makes sense to just do the work for the LS engine. You'll be power ahead anyway.

Finally going to start working on this again, not going to stick the 4.8 in it due to lack of money to put towards the swap so the motor is coming out of my 82 k20 diesel and going in this truck.

Now I need to locate a converter, flex plate, and put a manual valve body in my 400 turbo.

Wow! Hmm, been a few years since I have posted in here or made any progress on my pile..... Alot has changed in every way lol...

Installed the 4.8 with a set of f-body long tube headers. Will require the driver side collector to be cut and re-positioned, the passenger side needs the O2 bung cut off and relocated but other than that they fit great with no frame notching or cutting.

Going to be pulling the cab off this frame and putting it on another frame (its getting a full restoration but thats for another build lol), going to be dragging a 7late 70's c30 home this week to rob the cab and front clip off of it to go on this frame.

Also need to get my DIY4X spring plates painted and new u-bolts installed.

Thanks! Been a long time coming. Fuse panel for the LS harness should be here in the next day or 2 and then I can get the harness wired up.

Got my fuse panel in for the stand alone LS harness, hope to get started on it soon.

It's nothing picture worthy but I swapped out the GM 52" springs I had in the front for a set NOS Dodge 52" rear springs that have a 2" offset center pin to push the axle 2" forward.
