86 K5 in CT for parts or rebuild the motor

1986 k5 blazer

carbed 350 ---- the F'N thing threw a rod or spun a bearing
sm465 recently rebuilt
np208 recently rebuilt
8 lug dana 44 4.56 open - need shafts replaced I have shafts for it -included
D60 rear w/ 4.56 and detroit w/ custom dynatrac axles plus one spare stock axle shaft
custom 1 1/2 ton drive shafts front and rear
front tires 35x12.5x16.5 BFG MT in ok shape
rear tires 35x14.5x16.5 swamper radials


body has some rust and rot ; wheel wheels, tail gate
rear floor around gas filler, passenger rockers and bottom of door

pass door had a disagreement with a tree , broken window , quarter window is fine

needs new tailgate window regulator and window

Great trail rig even in 2 wheel drive. that granny first and the locker in the rear make it so easy to get through some pretty tricky spots. Looking for $900 OBO. thanx for looking

How many miles has it got on it? How are the floors for rust? how much are you looking to get for it? also

I'm not sure of the mileage, the PO never had the speedo corrected. I do know that this is not the stock motor, he had a big block in it but put in the small block before he sold it. As for the floors, there is some decent rot around the the fuel filler neck ( the passenger rear corner of the floor) also around where the passenger front seat belt bolts to the truck.
The solenoid problem is the normal heat soak problem with the starter. The truck has after market headers that are pretty close to the starter. So when the truck runs for a while the heat makes the solenoid not actuate. Thats why I would recommend relocating the solenoid or at the very least getting so sort of heat sheilding. the truck starts up no prob when its cold but after its been running for a while good luck.

oh yeah and some more parts I forgot to list

94 amp alternator -- just installed a week ago
1/2ton custom drive shafts
optima yellow top about a month old

I have replace the starter , added a heat shield, and set it up with a remote solenoid before the engine sh*t the bed. a new motor and your good to go.

I am willing to consider trades of all kinds. The drivetrain is really whats for sale here. Great truck for a truggy project or for some one who doesn't care about rust. Just a refresher; newly rebuilt SM465, newly rebuilt NP208, custom driveshafts, rear D60 with detroit and 4.56 gears and dyna trac axles , front 3/4 ton 8lug D44 4.56 gears open, and some other good stuff. Everything works on this truck but the motor. This is one heck of a deal for these parts.

I don't think I'll be parting it out at all. It parked in my aprtment buildings parking lot right now and for some reason I don't think they would be too happy me parting out my truck there.

BTW any trade would be considered; guns, dirtbikes, hell I;m even looking for a pressure cooker right now. Trades and some cash works too. Lets get creative here people.
