I have finally chased the problem down and have figured out that the contacts are bad in the rear window key switch. The question is does anyone have one of these units rolling around in there parts bins....I really dont want to spend $50 for the entire unit when all I need is the contacts.

thanks in advance

email me by clicking on my name. Include a phone number; I can help you out have parts.

Not to shoot down a deal, those switches come apart pretty easily. Took mine apart the contacts were all covered in junk, cleaned and lubed it, worked when reassembled.

yep you are correct..........My contact has a hole burn through it.....

I got a new one from the local dealer. Probably has been discontinued, but a dealer may have it laying around in the obsolete parts bin.

My cost was less than $20 if I remember correctly.

WRONG!!! next contestant PLEASE!

Gawd shows how you all think! I was going to give the guy a motor and complete outer switch as well as the wiring plug for the motor. Some people are just plain greedy and wouldn't flip a turtle over off its back in a desert to save its life. :dunno:

All who thought I was trying to sell the guy something should be ashamed! You know some people are willing to help others out just because they can. I have several boxes of stuff I will never use but it is to good to just put to the curb.

OK we just talked and I pulled my switch apart it has same little hole. So he still needs one guys. If you have one laying around your parts be a good brother and help the guy out. He is a real descent guy.

No offense, but assuming others intent, or telling them how they think, isn't a good way to deal with people.

Nowhere in your post do you say you were going to give it up for free, however, if you WERE going to sell it, doesn't it make sense of me to be kind enough to make it understood that I wasn't trying to trample on any potential deal just to spite your offer?
