86 K5 - Suggestions on replacement parts?

That sounds like they fit correctly. Even with the stock wheels there isn't much clearance from the tie rod ends.

I need to clean out my garage so I can do something with this thing this winter. I went camping a few weeks ago and would have loved to had the blazer going good enough to make the trip. I need some motivation, ha.

Last time I started it was waaaay too long ago. It was dripping gas from somewhere on the frame. I know I need to replace the lines; a lot of rustiness under there.

Sometimes I wish I had a ton of cash just to get someone to do it while I'm working during the day. But that contradicts a lot of the reasoning I bought it. I want to do a lot of it myself (at least I did in the beginning).

Time, effort, money and love. You can decrease some of that but have to increase others to make up for it.

Throw some mothballs and drier sheets in there to keep the critters out.

I used to put those Cedar smelling mothballs in mine during the Michigan winters.

Made some progress...

I moved the newer seats from the garage into the back of the blazer... haha.

Needed some room in the garage where the seats were being stored. So I moved them closer to their final home.

Making room in the garage to get the blazer in there for winter. Selling a mower, a lathe, a motorcycle... bunch of things. Hopefully I can get rid of some stuff.

Long time, no post...

Before I spend an hour looking around, can you all tell me the difference between the axle widths? Long story short, I have some wheels and tires off my old Sierra that I'm trying to put on the blazer, but the inside of the front tires are rubbing the tie rods. Need a 1" spacer. I can't remember if the front was wider or if the back was wider. I think I'll need different spacers in the rear to make it look right... IF I go with these wheels and tires.

Fronts are wider. IFS trucks have about 1.5-2" more wheel backspacing than SFA trucks.
I was thinking the front was wider but couldn't remember. I didn't want to go through the trouble of getting spacers and not try to make them the same. He said the wheel weights were hitting the tie rod on the inside, so I don't need much.

And a life update: I moved out into the county and am about to build a 30x40 garage :)
We found a house with 20 acres; plenty of room to stretch. Hopefully the garage won't fill up too fast... but I expect it will.

I believe there is around a 2 inch difference front to rear. Having it like that helps the turning Radius. I have wheel Spacers myself but inless you
Change
The rims to fit correct there isn't much else that can be done. I just don't think spacers all all that safe because they can loosen up and fall Off. But correctly torquing them and maybe putting some
Kind of Loctite I'm sure will go Far in keeping the wheels on.

Do you just have the spacers in the back? Or all the way around?

I know this is a very old post, but I've had spacers on my 86 Chevy K5 Blazer for years and tow 10,000 lb trailers all the time with no problems.

Don't use Loktite since you might destroy the spacer taking the lug nuts off during a tire removal. And don't lubricate them either!

Just nice clean threads on everything works very well

What size spacers did you get? Front and back.

I got 2" spacers front and back - and run some 2001 Chevy 4WD type rims - in 16" so I can save some money by not buying 15" tires. Gack! 15s are getting more expensive every day it seems.

And - Yup! I had to drill out the centers to (IIFR) 3 1/4" I think.I bought as hole saw that size and haven't used it since.

It might just be me, but I'm having a hard time finding what I need. Any vendors on here sell spacers?

So here's what happened so far:
1. I asked ORD if they supply any. They do not, so they forwarded me to Poly Performance.
2. Looks like I'll have good luck with Poly Performance, but they do not supply small/thin adapter/spacers. He says he can't seem to source any spacers for a 14mm x 1.50 lugs through any of the vendors that they use.
3. Poly Performance suggests Summitt Racing. Gives me this address: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/gta-93-38-125/overview/

Why is this so hard? It's kind of funny.
