i did it how it was easy for me but a pain,
1. remove windshiled and gasket
2. cut off 8 inches or so, use the spot welds as referance since they are close
3. cut less than needed off windshield "cap" to go on
4. re-install windshield and gasket but with out the top "cap"
5 test fit 73-75 "cap" peice, trim little by little untill she is snug on the gasket and lines up with your cuts on the windshield pillars
6. shove a 3/4 or 1 inch tube in the windshild frame, plug weld on the cap and pillar
weld er up a stich at a time
and add rockers as the non full convertable did not have full rocker boxes, this keeps the truck from falling in on its self/saging
