trucks, 1/2 tons were strait axle untill 1988, so 87' would still be solid front

the 3/4 ton trucks went to IFS only in 88

the 1 ton trucks had both IFS and solid axle in 88-91 then in 92 all of them were IFS

91 solid axle 1 ton 4x4

When it comes to 1 ton, I believe it was only the crewcab version that kept the straight axle until -91

sweet thanks supersize. love the pics for explanation!! im a more visual guy.

You could buy a cab and chasis in the old body style up till 1991 as well.

Correct. These trucks in the regular cab would have a 135.5" wheelbase.
