That does look like the 87-only belt setup.

What is specific to '87 about the belt setup?

I thought that combination of serpentine for the water pump and alt and V-belt for the A/C only appeared one year, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, gotcha. No, GM started using that earlier. I am not sure how they decided which rigs got it, and which did not, but I know they were using it already in 1985.
