You sir are a crazy, crazy man, my friend. I love it :haha:

I`m up to about 4Gs, and still have a couple more to spend. I should have figured it would be like this....as soon as that last mount came off the frame, I knew my wallet would regret it :haha:
 
yeah, I hear ya. I'm working 84 hrs this week between 2 jobs and none of it's OT, but I'm usually working 24hrs at a time. Good thing is I still have 3 days off this week :D and gotta love gettin paid to sleep.

Keep working that OT though cuz I wanna see the finished product all your dinero goes into
 
when I got hired here like 3 yrs ago, I had NEVER had a job that payed time and a half for OT.. ever... the grosses are nice...

I get NO slack time, 60 hr weeks beat the snot out of my dinosauric self... they get every pennies worth out of me... I can't conceive 84.....

and thanks, I'm stoked on what's gonna roll out in the spring... think it's gonna be a pretty stout package...

the guard was an impulse buy from a member.. that thing is BEEF.. I'm good with Kert for now, other than the 14b u-bolts must still be on backorder....

my next 2 orders are gonna hurt.... Randy's R&P and NWF.... probably looking at about 1500 from each... :crazy: :doah::haha:

and yup, custom B-52's... It's the beginning of my custom bumper center.... Most of that will get lopped off once I get the winch in and figure departure angle, skid plate, tube, etc, etc.... got a couple pretty trick ideas I think for it...

actually, I'll probably do my Randy's order, then get my bender before the NWF order...
 
finally got some time to work on the truck...

gonna finish blasting the frame today, zinc and epoxy those parts and a good portion of the frame...
 
Gives ya time to contemplate all the cool stuff your gonna do... small consolation... :bow:

I honestly haven't touched the truck in about 4 months... but it's time to pound it... pretty big pile o' parts, and now with the new welder and plasma I can get to some serious labor...

It'll be nice to be starting on the building of the truck... gotta do my steering box repair, build the bumper center and get going on the rockers/floors... it'll be nice to zinc the frame and parts today tho..

it's all about cash... if I had another 10 g's to throw at it, it'd be done in about 3, 4 months....
 
Yes, a small consilation indeed! I know the whole money thing too! Thats why I am here right now though. However I think this money will take priority in supporting me while I am in school for the next 7 years....YIKES!!!

Keep up the awesome work and well I'll just keep reading!

Sucks to sit and think how much people put into these rigs, and to think people think I`m nuts for throwing 5 grand at my rig. :crazy:

thats about 1/2 the load.... :doah: nice having free run of a blast cabinet... musta spent 4 hrs saturday morn doing them...

everything on the truck is getting the full treatment, zinc, epoxy, black Imron.... even the secondary color I'm using for the drivetrain, crossover, razors, etc is going to be Imron, chevy orange... not a ton, just a few items... all the black will have flattening agent in it for a satin look...

other than not having zinc wash, I have a gallon kit of epoxy primer, gal of black Imron and a qrt of the orange.. plus I still have a qrt of the copper, 2 qrts of clear and hardener... So I have most of the materials...

should see some good progress on it the next couple months... taking a week off in sept to work on it....
 
Nice choice on the Imron. That's what I did my whole frame with after I sandblasted it. It's good stuff. Me likey.
Wear on organic respirator though. That stuff is nassssty.
*EDIT* ohhh...I see your powered full face there. Nice. I used to wear one of those when I did asbestos abatement.

not really.. have everything to mate em.. still trying to locate and decide on a clocking ring... also still need to do my e-brake, rear flange..

I have decided to run a manual valve body on the slushbox tho...
