Been putting a bunch of hrs into the truck this week... My neighbors must be hating me, the grinding, welding and compressor haven't stopped for 3 days! :haha:

Phase 1 is almost complete... I'll post some pics over the next couple days... Sad thing is, phase 2 and 3 are even more involved... :doah:

Read more about this build here...

wondering where the hell you have been. post up some pics soon!!

Not enough hrs in the day bro.... :wink1:

Wish I had 2 weeks, the truck could eat up 100 hrs, easy... Might have something to do with me going overboard on everything! :doah: :haha:

Hope your feeling better....

Ok, here's a teaser... During mockup... The metal work on the firewall is done and smooth now and studs have been installed for box mounting..

The box is in my car going down to work for a little glassbeading this morn... Hope to have everything zinced, epoxied and painted by later tonight...

Started doing the layout this morn for the electronics box... :doah:

Oh, hey, need to talk to ya.. pm on the way...

Heater? Dual Batteries? Missile Launcher? You will, of course, write up for those of us who are still trying to figure it all out, right?

haha, rice-seeking warheads.. :wink1:

Tis a trick question really... Many little projects roled into one.. dual bats, cabling, solenoid, headlight mod, fans.... Phase 2 involves a new harness and new switching in the dash... More pics tonight!

Man that just reminds me how bad I need to go through my wiring. :doah:

Let us know how well that heater works. I've been thinking of that route myself.

Yup, 1/0, dual 27's, battery switch, HD solenoid, main breaker, relays, etc, etc... I'm actually building a stand-alone harness, all breakers, no fuses or fusable links.. It's its own independent system that I'm adding each function to.. Then eliminating all stock wiring for that function.. The only stock wires in the end will be ECM related..

I doubt the heater will be equal to the stock heat, but should be enough... It is freakin small!

It's so small I'm actually moving it over and center mounting it behind the ashtray, above the tranny hump.... Freed up a ton of room to the right for the breaker panel behind the glovebox door... Nothing between the glovebox door and firewall now..

Thanks... :D

Most was thru work at cost, steel, breakers, cable, switch, etc... The heater and 2nd volt gauge where Summit... The switches are part of that bulk buy I did from Carling...

Yeah, I plan to have welding capabilty down the line, so I want everything STOUT... The breaker panel behind the glovebox door should be trick.. Those are the red breakers in the first pic...

Ok, on a break, some more tidbits...

Jam done, ready for fender.. (excuse the dust) woulda been nice to do new gaskets.. They're pretty dryrotted, but whatever..... Wonder who has nice ones? The fender'll be coming back off anyway..

Last night's mockup of the waterproof electronics box.. I'm building it this week out of composite glass with a removable lid... The layouts looking good.. Plenty of room to have a start solenoid and headlight/fan relays inside neatly, to go with the headlight and fan breakers, cab breaker and bat switch on the outside...

Corrogated for lightweight! :haha:
