87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

People not only dig your stuff, Paul, they want to put it in their own rigs, which IMO is the highest compliment of all. You've got some sweet skills, which I know have taken years to perfect and not to mention a load of talent, but your best quality is your willingness to share all of that with others. I think the price points you've hinted at are practically giving away your dashes, but don't take that to mean you should raise your prices because I want one, OK. :wink1:

On that note, they'res quite a few here who haven't replied at all, pro or con, but PLEASE if anyone doesn't dig the stuff I'm doing, feel free to tell me.. I wont be pissed, I may offer my reasoning behind my decisions, but I don't want anyone to think they're being rude.. :wink1:

There are some things you make I don't like , but the quality of what you make is always great.

Thanks for the honesty man, appreciate that.... :D

I don't want you to feel like I'm putting you on the spot or anything, but if you could expound on what aspects you haven't liked, I would love to hear... If you want to leave it at that, that's cool too....

People like different things, and thats always a good thing.. But it would be great to know if it was something design orientated, functionality, asthetics, etc about a project you didn't like...

I really have blinders on with many of my projects, in the sense that, I like things done my way... I do make compromises due to lack of parts, cash, etc but I generally want it a certain way and try to get it as close to that result as I can.. But that doesn't mean I don't take into account what the rest of the world likes... :ears:

Ok I will , just not tonight. I have been out working on mine all day and I'm toast ;)
Besides I will have to go all the way back to the start :eek1: and see what it was.

Personally I think your chit is crap!

hehe, let the chit-flinging begin! :haha:

I'm pretty sure my semi-inflated ego could handle any criticism...

I know their are a few guys here who tend to not like things as far away from factory as I build, no names mentioned, but I know who they are! :p: :haha:  :wink1: ...

I tend to think if my truck was camo or olive I'd be getting MUCH better feedback... :haha: Ah, it's mostly a DD, so I think the copper is pretty appropriate, and it's certainly easy enough for me to go that route... Plus I think once it's on bigger meats, black tube bumpers, winch, etc, it'll look pretty tough... Even for being a "pretty" color... :eek1: :haha:

Ouch, Hit close to home.:D
Just read this entire thing. I just wish I had the same patients as you when it comes to wiring:bow:
Can't wait until you get to the floor/slider, I need some new ideas.
Don't get the NJ much, but I hope to run into you one of this days.

In some ways, I kinda regret not going with a kahki or something... But I do love how the copper looks with the black, especially how the interior is coming together... It's a little drastic, but hey, nobody forgets my truck.. :haha:

Basically, I'm incorporating marine electrical theories to the truck... still have a fair amount of work to finish, but so far it's been bulletproof...

And yeah, I'm stoked to get to the floor gig too... It'll be nice to be able to showcase some metalfab skills for a change... I think I have a pretty innovative plan for the sliders/tunnel, etc... And am very anxious to get to it... :grind: :weld: :hack: :woot:

Hopefully, I can have it on real running gear soon and get out wheeling at some of the east coast events by next summer with you guys... :D

These things blow some SERIOUS air... :D  :D :saweet: :woot: :D :saweet:

picked up a ton of room....

WOW, that is slick. I am sooo diggin' that. And holy clearance, hmmm I'm thinking, big block. J/K I know you're going 383 someday, but what to do with all that space? Seriously though, Paul, I think I get as excited when you mod your truck as when I get to do something to mine. BTW, I looked back through the thread, but couldn't find the answer, are those windstar fans?

Yes, I may not have gone into that, Windstar fans that Tom hooked me up with... The shroud was cracked, thus my thang....

With both of em huffing, I know it's pulling WAY more thru than the mechanical.... The shroud is super efficient too...

The space'll be nice when I run the York on the other side...

This is the last project before I do the floors, thankfully.. I'll just be doing a little wiring and such till the first week of sept when I do the BIG project... :wink1:

Need to get my p/u tailgate and another gallon of Herc for that... :doah:

Looks great! How is that fan set up working for you? Have you had any overheating probles yet? I had a similar set with a single fan and it would over heat and I want to run a dual set up like what your doing.

Well, just took it out for a hard romp...

With both fans running, and working it hard, it sat at 200... With the mechanical it would run at 210... At idle, it sat at 195, mechanical 205... So it looks like it runs about 10 cooler across the board.. I'll re-evalauate after running it for a couple weeks..

Right now I just have them both firing with the ign... Wanted to figure out what I was gonna do therm switch wise.. I think I'm gonna run the small fan off the thermal, and the big will be switched... Gonna run it on a 3 position Contura this weekend..

Pos #1 - Both Off

Pos #2 - Big Fan On (ign power)/ Small Fan on thermal (ign power)

Pos #3 - Both On
