Just a quick question or more. Is your entire electrical system now ryokenmade? do you have pics of under your dash at the drivers seat all cleaned up of factory wire nest?

Balzer

Hey, quit distracting him. He has dashes to work on. :wink1: Just kidding.

The color looks awesome!!!

So how is the mojave heater working out? I am wanting to relocate my battery to the firewall and run one. Does it work a lot better than stock?

haha, tommorrow night, big update with pics...

the heater kicks arse, plain and simple.... on par with stock heat, in 1/7th the size...

Since I blew the tranny up, I figured it was the opportune time to get a buzzbox to run back and forth to work... Bought the volvo wagon from work and am taking the truck down for 5 or 6 months... :wink1:

many, many things going on...

Building the super stout 700r4 with a friend, going over and installing my 205.

Just a clean up, new pan gasket and fresh paint on the 350 and back in with new mounts and a full stainless exhaust including custom headers.....

lots of little odds and ends too.. AN fittings, steelbraided, and bulkhead fittings for my heater and oil hoses, finalize some wiring, yada, yada....

obviously scrub down, prep and paint the frame rails and finish the copper on the firewall...

and um, the floor/slider project... :wink1::saweet::woot::grind::saweet::hack::grind:

while the engine is out, replace the cross member with ORD's tubular one and use their competion motor mounts. I did and it really tightens up the front portion of the frame.

yup, thats good.. it'll help come crossover/high steer time too... who has em beside ORD, kert making em?

I checked a while back, because I`m also going to replace the x-member and mounts come spring when the big swap goes down, and all Kert has listed is the 1st Gen. He may as be making it, but its not on the site..

BTW, check your PMs:p:

Things still coming along nicely. I wish it was warmer outside or i had a garage so i could start my build..

wow! Those comp mounts from ORD hurt a little! :eek1::(:haha:

I don't mind the $190 for the crossmember, but the $215 for the 3 mounts is kinda painful.. :haha:

on a side note, all the above work was done in 18 hrs straight.... :doah::haha:

here's the setup I'm gonna run for the heater.....

Since I already have that stuff free going on my trans system, I'll stick with it... It's been bulletproof.. If I was starting from scratch, I'd probably run the Ano-Tuff stuff

Tho I do think the regular steelbraided will be tougher and maintenence free...

And I'm finally gonna throw a bolt-in steering brace in..

Oh, and thanks to all who have been interested in my build... Took awhile, but this thread finally reached 20,000 views....

Hopefully it's been good reading for all... :D

It has been great for me. Love seeing some of the innovation you have done. If I could have my Blazer offline for a period of time, I would follow your lead on some of this stuff, very impressive work.

That it has Paul, that it has.

Some questions on that heater hose stuff/fittings.

Easy to setup? What are the benfits? The Ano-Tuff stuff any cheaper than the steel braided?

Other than that, looking good Paul!

EDIT: I really like the idea of using the bulk heads. Makes running the hoses alot easier, and safer. Thanks for bringing those up!

Thanks bro.... I'm sooooooo psyched for this... After DDing it for 4 years, it'll be nice to be able to get in depth on projects with no fear of not having wheels monday morn... Hopefully the attention to detail and engineering I'm gonna put to the floor gig will inspire some...

I actually think the ano-tuff ends up pricier than the Endura fittings and proflex... The main reason is I want the bulkhead fitting in there... Figure it's the trick, right way to do it...

reusable ends and steelbraided are THE way to plumb.. There's a reason you see it on 7000hp top fuelers... easy to do, not as quick as cutting a hose, but simple... obviously it's a $ investment...
