well, i really only want the 89 - 91 because thats the only one with side by side buckets at the top... i'll still run my LMC lights from the 87... hopefully the hole, spring hookup, etc are for the same size light... it would certainly be closer to what I need than the 87 or 81 ish I have here....

are the 89-91 lights smaller than these?

wish I had an 89 to 91 sitting in front of me to see the light mounting depressions....

anyone got a pic of an 89 to 91 with no lights in it?

I can mod what I have to work.... but it's alot of work.... the 80, 81 with the single hlight is all wrong.. the mounting depression is bigger, for a bigger light... but that one has a solid bottom piece, which I could spotdrill out to repair the bad 87 bottom mount area... and the 87 bucket (right size) area could be swapped around, but that a fair amount of work...

Here is a blank 89-91 core support. Hope it helps! And yea, this style does have smaller headlights than the 84ish style.

I think the interest has been created by a great build, with good detailed pics and thoughtful descriptions.

You are giving me many ideas and insights.

I bet i could make that work... putting in the 87 lights too... those deppressions look pretty close to the 87's...

i'll have to see what turns up over the next few months...

meanwhile I've gotta get the ds fender.slider/bumper fab work to do..... few other things too... :wink1:
 
I will have both styles of core support bare sometime in the next few weeks. I could take some measurements for you.... Just not sure exactly when I will get to it.

financial build note......

I knew this was coming, was hoping i could put it off till summer, but I've had some recent family stuff thats gonna run me about $600 a month for the next 6 to 12 months... so, my may date will more than likely have to get pushed back some... that was basically my truck fund... parts buying will have to slow down.... :(

whatever, I gotta do, what I gotta do... family first... the truck'll be there, just gives me more time to finish up all the projects thoroughly... :(

sweet, i'd appreciate it!!!! really, all i need is maybe a closeup pic of the 91 bucket area...

and a couple meash's, from the adjuster square holes in to where they would meet at the middle of the light.... then some measurement to show me where the spring hook is in relation to those...

no rush, any help is appreciated... might save me a buttload of work...

eh, just one of those things... I'll take it as a challenge.... I'll be working like a mad dog this spring for some OT to try and make up for it somewhat... :crazy:

it's more just annoying not having the parts for mock-up, fab work, etc.... he!!, it's like that 90% of the time already...... :doah::haha:
 
oh, the update train will keep rolling.... just wont have those fun "new toy" moments as often.... i wont be letting up on the labor, tons of stuff to do and finish... I'll keep up the same pace, tho this week I'm taking it easy a few days...


I'll be changing around the priority list a bit, to reflect giving myself plenty of labor till I CAN afford the parts...

I know for a fact a trip to my autobody supply for a gallon of 2K primer, more black and the cage/parts orange just went WAY up the priority list..... well, a few spots anyway...

that was just a heavy douche coat of Imron to trim everything out, it'll get a last sanding and overcoat...

and sure, whenever ya get some time i'd definitely be interested in the wells... no rush, just shoot me a PM bud... :bow::D:D
