absolutely..... i'll try to remember to be thorough with pics too...

this'll be a big turning point for the rig.... after 2 yrs of fab work, it's time to start bolting parts up....

I've been a convert to the 100 per setting for awhile.. but I've also run 25 and 50 in the past...

hopefully I'll get all the sanding and prepping done this weekend on the whole underside and in zinc, maybe finish the seam sealing too... I despise working under there for the obvious reasons.... kinda like doing a bottom job on a boat, uggghhhhh! :doah: :haha:

I will need to change my setting..... I'm set a 10 per page so we are on page 291:haha::haha:.

Kinda agreeing with BGKYK5 all a sudden.


Will be much easier to remember what page I saw "this" detail on, and scroll a lil - Instead of remembering the page and scrolling.....and scrolling.....and - uh - scrolling.

so.... just a quick build parts priority post... so for the next 3, 4 weeks I'll be getting the cab/cage/frame in paint.... got all the materials...

in the meantime, I've been debating the next course of action... direction.....

I've decided to put the exhaust back a few spots... I'll get back to it with the final motor install.. I'd like to finalize the front clip/rad support, etc stuff... so i think I'm gonna bite the bullet and order my hood in 2 weeks... they say 6 to 8 wk delivery...

then comes a couple big orders with Randy's.... I'd like to have to the axles loaded up with 5:13's, ready for install by turkey day maybe... I'm gonna Detroit the back, and run open up front for now... at some point, i'll ARB the front...


oh, and anyone see an issue running the mechanical speedo off the 205, and getting my VSS signal from the 700r4?
 
and yes, I'm building the exhaust myself...

I'm thinking of trying out a Magnaflow this time... always had flows...

I've always prefered the non chambered Magnaflow's to Flowmaster. The sound is so much more round and clean.

And FWIW I LOVE my Thorleys. Great hunks a metal. And the perfect bluing, they're gorgeous. They are original Thorleys though too.
 
so, last winter I took some time and stripped, smoothed my Dana 60 housing like I did with my 205... came out nice, put it in zinc to await my 5:13's, etc...

so recently I decided to get the 14FF to that point too... so when my Randy's order comes in, the housing would be ready...

the hillbilly I bought em from... "ah, the perch is rotting away, eh, we'll just weld little hunks of steel in the gaps..."


I have Megasquirt brain pain... researching VSS's, EGR, IAT, etc..... not exactly sure what I'm gonna do about EGR... Seafarer, you running EGR?
 
think I'm gonna run a Caddy EGR valve.... it's an electrically controlled stepper motor style that with a bit of work should be usable with Megasquirt...
