87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

as of now, with all the changes they got going on, I'm gonna play stupid.. I don't even plan to tilt test it at this point if i can get away with it.... i'll see what my local sniff guy says when i bring it down there.. tho i'll have it rear mudflapped, etc, making "the attempt"...

todays debate.... the rad support has to come back out for reblasting, priming, etc... i was just gonna stick a couple "tophat" air intakes in the holes.. just the hats.. get a little air in the engine bay.. but now i'm thinking i may patch em up with steel, so i'll have better/more mounting space in the engine compartment for the ps ressy, welder, etc...

nice grille.i did the same thing with mine.diamond aluminum insert.pretty good loookin surround.mine i also went satin black and it looks real nice.i think it looks tougher than the stock grill and surround.

I didn't think I would like it, but this picture sold me on it :thumb:

I like that shot too....

it's another one where I really think once the front clip is in copper, and the rad support and grill are black, it'll look exponentially better... then all the coolers, filters and lines should help break it up some.. at least thats the plan... :doah: :haha:

Im diggin it. I really like the looks of those coolers, and fittings. Those will tie it together nicely :thumb:
Btw are those fittings painted brass or a plastic?? just wonderin

anodized alum... Ano-tuff's from Earl's..... more of my cavier tastes on a tunafish budget... :doah: :pimp: the fittings and lines add up quick, especially with the quantity i'm ordering... but the cooler's are really what's gonna hurt the wallet.. but it's what I want.. I ran one in my Chevelle and the quality can't be matched imo..

:haha:

the rig is a hungry beast! :eek1: :doah:

I'd throw 5 g's at it tomorrow if I had it.... :screwy:  :haha:

Haha my girlfriend asked what kind of truck i would buy if i won a million dollars. I said i would buy brand new everything for my truck and a workshop and lots of tools. (basically i showed her your thread lol) Then i would prolly get bored and go back to work lol.

I am really anxious for you to get it painted. Ummm cause I think I am the only dissenting voice, not for me.

If you have to do the headlights so they come out of it, I think it would be cool if you sunk them down, basically just bent the expanded metal down and did the same frame work you have on the outside. Just an idea if you have to do that.

I just don't like it but I sure can appreciate the time and effort that went into it. Nice work as far as that goes, it sure as heck will be tougher than any stock type plastic junk. Won't break when you start jumping the truck and stuff:D

oh, I'm sure there's plenty that don't dig it.... heck, i never know if i'm gonna like it till i actually do it.... :screwy::o when i first came up with the idea yrs ago, i had never seen it done before, so i thought it was a pretty orignal idea that might look cool... and like i said, i think paint will make a world of difference in how it appears.. :deal:

thanks for the honesty, and the light idea... i really like that, worst case scenario obviously...

fock that... i always here that... i have plenty of hobbies to keep myself occupied.. i've bled enough in my life... :doah: :haha:

Haha true I could find lots to do, but then that money would disappear quick lol

I'm siding with Eric on this, not my cup of tea. But then, that's why it's your truck and not mine, but I wish it was. I'd drive that thing any day, grill or not. ;)

I think that grill looks great. and the light should be fine shooting through it. the full width phantom grills dont mess with the light output, so that shouldnt.

He would probably get more done if he didn't have to update this forum all the time.:D Maybe you can get you're significant other to update the forum while you work. No, really, get to work! You have an audience to fulfill. Hey, you started it! Thanks for your contribution to the forum.
