thanks... it's done when it's done... was hoping to be back on the road for early fall, but that ain't gonna happen... more than likely after the new year at this point... unless of course someone wants to sponsor me with a nice fat check....

and I'll most certainly wheel it as often as I can... ain't afraid of some bodywork... :grind::weld:

Well, "No Quarter" by Tool might be your inspirational song for the moment...but I think this Tool song is where the rest of us are at reading/watching your build!

well, tomorrow starts the second 1/2 of this project, the underside of the hood... :doah:

That looks way cool man. Its hard to belive that started with a lamp shade!!! :thumb:

thanks Mike.... I'm pleased with it, and very very pleased with the air cleaner choice.. in retrospect, I think it was a MUCH better choice than the red carbon fiber would have been....

off to the dungeon with me....

Sorry, I'm not going to give you a check :-) but what big parts do you still need to purchase?

let's see...

$2000 in axle parts.... I have 800 of it...

trans... $2500

headers and exhaust.. headers are about $500 after Jethot

radiator $300

shocks... about $400

shafts.. about $1500

and I need to at least get the basics for my Megasquirt..

so, it's in the 6 to 7 g range... which means 8 :doah: :haha:

got the hood pretty figured out.. bringing home some 2-part foam tomorrow for it.... that stuff is a trip, always fun to play with.... :haha:

hopefully I can have a decent bit of the glasswork done this weekend... got a few other bodywork things to finish up after the hood, but I'd love to be putting the rest of the rig in copper by the end of the month or so...

down to the dungeon to build a mold...

Looks good but what happens when the engine shifts one way and the body shifts the other? You're going to scratch all that pretty paint on the firewall. :)
