Wondering where I can find the door jam switch terminals that go into the switch itself. I had one break off and wanna replace all since replacing switches. I have to start with switches and terminals since no dome/cargo lights and go from there with fixing the system. Any help would be great guys!!!

if the switch itself then i got one at orielys

Just as a tip, if you cut out a small 1/2" disc from an aluminum can and glue it to the door jam with contact cement, the switch won't wear away at the paint/metal. This is geared more towards those with fresh paint jobs though since it's too late for others.

Great tip, I like that. :)

As always I'll recommend perusing mouser.com, although a google search for gm door jamb switch terminals might get you closer, faster.

Personally I wish someone would make these in high quality stainless.

Additionally, do your dome lights work with the headlight switch? If they don't, the problem isn't the door jamb switches. I had a heck of a time tracking my problem down, if the floor light contacts are bad, nothing will get to the dome lights. I hate that little light, I really need to take it apart and see why it randomly loses contact.

Lights don't work period when previous owner cut wires! On the 87 it appears they share same wires with the rear cargo light wiring and it has been cut in two inside truck. The light should work off dimmer but so far both door switches bad, terminals messed up (need new terminals),orange-white and white wire cut. Think I will start with that and go from there agree?

Always pays to fix what you know is wrong first, so yeah, if the door switches are bad, replace them. My truck sits so much they never worked for more than a year after I took them apart, cleaned them, coated them in dielectric grease, etc. Been running without them for years now.

Wiring for the interior lighting is...different. IIRC the circuit grounds through the headlight switch itself, and the lights must be wired in series if the floor socket being screwed up means the others don't work.
