I'm new to Chevy and rebuilding a 87 k5. When taking apart headlights I noticed the hole on the bucket was facing up. Is it because of the heat the lights generate?
 
I don't remember what hole you are talking about. I pay attention to the spring clip tab.
So I'm no help....
