Ok guy's looking for little help here. I have a 87 K5 with 350 TBI motor problem is when coming to stop after warming up it does a surge right as coming to full stop for split second then idles back up to normal. Does not ever set a check engine light. So what do you think it is? Little on my truck new after market dist complete, new msd cap, rotor, coil, wires, coolant sensor, knock sensor, throttle body from TBIparts.com with everything done even fuel pressure upgrade. This truck was bought from a friend that thought he knew alot and dang near messed with everything and rig all parts etc so chashing down and trying to fix problems. Thanks in advance Brandon

Does it idle down or up? And does it do this out of gear . I'd say check your idle air control valve might be sticking.

idles down and seems only in drive and every now then then twice in 100 miles cuts off going up incline on road but starts right back up.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Take brake cleaner and spray the hell out of the engine manifold, around the TBI, all vacuum lines and when the engine almost dies; there is your leak.
