'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Hard to explain, driveline in tube wraped in shop towels so it won't move around. Tube mounted somehow and one end can unscrew to slide out said spare driveline. I will also see If I can mount just the driveline on top of framerail without the tube to save space inside the cabin. I already have a spare tierod mounted on top of one framerail, Maybe a driveline will fit also.

Pics to come in the morning.

mount it from the roof:dunno:

The sum bich is already too tall. I do plan to lower it 2" very soon. I have the shackle flip already, just need to figure out a few more things want to do. Like what front springs, rear springs, and rear upper shock mounts.

I'm out of town or i'd snap a pic for you but I carry the levels in my tool trailer in pvc, I just took a pipe strap of the appropriate size, drilled a hold through the strap and the pvc and riveted them together then you have holes to mount it where ever you want. My vote it to try and mount it up top, or put a cage in that big bitch and mount it to the cage :thumb:

I would love to mount it to my cage!!!! If I had one. That first sentence just sounds cool, Mount it to MY cage! I do need one though. In the future.

I wanted it to be mounted under the window kinda suspended. No go, Too long. I can fit it between my speaker box and ammo cans though. No room on top of the framerail.

Here are some pics.

My front driveline bolts kept getting loose on me, Last time I went wheelin, I came home with only 2 bolts in there. So, I got longer bolts and lock nuts. Hope this is OK, Did they come factory with nuts?

Nice to see what that area is supposed to look like, here in Mn theres not much for rocker panels anymore lol

Its running again!! The tranny is awesome!! Smooth crisp shifts. Works perfect! I got the input shaft seal changed out. No leaks! Also got the XJ shaft on, Damm, What a huge difference it makes. Tight and solid.

I do have a serious issue with the suspension. It sways side to side so bad, I cant even drive it. Its real bad. I am missing one rear shock. I need to get another top rear mount today, But, Its undriveable!!!! I don't know if the springs are shot or what. Its bad!!!!

I now have a pic of it OUT of the driveway!!

If the xj shaft made that big of a difference. Wait till you get the hydro assist on there.

Thanks fellas! I can't wait to go out wheelin! The tires on there now look like crap, can't wait to put on my 42s. I figure I need to put another 5-7K in parts and wheels and tires to make it to BB12. It will happen. But first I need to figure out my swaying problem.

Then I see this thread about Spartan vs. Lockrite. I am getting on of those soon. Just to check it out.

I need sliders, rear bumper, front locker, 42" Goodyear with kevlars, raceline beadlocks, 35 spine outer and a ton of other crap. It's on!

Thanks again for the compliments, I need to get some battle scars on it soon.

Could the swaying be from bad tires? I had a set of tires make my truck sway real bad and i spent a lot of money on other things be fore i realised it.
