'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Yeah Lunatic helped out a bunch with his write up.

Had to move some tires around the other side of the house this morning. What a pain. It's amazing the stock steering can turn these 42's. With the hydro assist it's even easier.

This also reminds me I have one stuck in the back of the Burb. I'm afraid to open the tailgate. The rear passenger quarter is crushed into the gate. If I open it, I might never be able to close it. Need to work on that.

I'm almost done with this project. I think. Pretty much done under the hood. Ran out of good connectors for the ground distribution block so I had to use the plastic yellow ones. Might change those. Also need to find a spot for the vacuum ball. A few more wires to hook up in the dash and I should be able to test it.

This has been the longest modification I have ever done to the Burb!

I mounted the vacuum ball underneath my DS battery tray. IIRC I had to cut one of the feet on it.

Good idea! Thanks!

Well, I finally got the fans done!!! I can feel the fans behind the rig! Wow. These push a lot of air!

I ran the motor for about fifteen minutes to see them turn on but they never did. I put in a *180 thermostat and it never cycled the radiator. So it never got that hot I guess.

With my 180* in my Burbs 454 rarely gets hot enough for me to kick the fans on (as I have not gotten the BMW switch you have), and only needs the fans after its been drove for a bit at low speeds/high throttle.
