'87 Suburban Build "munepit" I'm Back! Missed all you guys!

Is there a way to challenge it? Maybe you could show them it's been wrecked and sitting?

Be careful about telling them it was wrecked and sitting. DMV nazi might require you to get a light and brake inspection before registering it. :doah:

Most of the lights work! Took it for a drive. Death wobble bad. I had taken off all shocks and hydro assist. Going back on right now!

Is talking the rear shocks about killed me. Lost strength. Having to push up from the bottom of the shock 12" was so hard I didn't have any strength anymore. Will try tomorrow.

Someone commented on another group I belong to that in California, for collector vehicles older than 25 years old you can get back fees dismissed. He said that he had to get his local DMV to call the headquarters in Sacramento but was then able to clear all of his back fees, saved him something like $800. Article I found says:

"Fill out a "Statement of Facts" form. Write this:
The vehicle is older than 25 years,
The vehicle has collectors value.
Please waive penalties."

It's a fake article, Snoops says so

kidding, I wouldn't know but that would have been helpful when I was buying my '68.

lol, I didn't fact check the article initially, but the other day I did some poking around and was able to find the DMV code that said it is so. It's too bad more people don't know about this, I wonder how many vehicles have been parted out because their owners decided it wasn't worth paying the back registration.

A lot, like a sh1t load. I know I passed on at least one truck and another I considered paying the couple years of back reg but didn't feel the truck was right for me.

Fock. It had only a few pounds of pressure on it just broke. I forget where I bought these have to go back on this thread and look wonder if a a local not and bolt shop will have this. Dammit.

Don't know what to look for. No idea if this is ok or bad. Never taken this off since I put these arms on.

Thanks Skunked! Guess it's a Balistic Fab arm. Don't even know if it's still in business. Guess I'll call in the morning.

Be careful ordering stuff from ballastic, they’ve been terrible for years now. If you know what size hardware you need I would look at ordering from McMaster Carr
