87cucv need help it just spins wheels as soon u put in gear i put big block in it and u can hold the breaks hard as u want it will just keep spinning the back wheels keep spinning any 1 knowwhat could i be or how to stop it being like that

Probably using the old diesel convertor aren't you? The stall speed is way too low for a big block IMO and will largely contribute to the problem. If the idle is even a little high on that big block it'll do just what you say it's doing.

it has new breaks every thing new and idle turned down not my first truck

Just because everything is new in the BRAKES doesn't mean they are working properly. While the stall may be wrong, it's not gonna drive through the brakes at idle if the braking system is functioning properly.

they worked perfect for 6.2 2 weeks ago the stall i got for swap Torque Converter 2700-3000 Stall

I asked him all these things on a face book cucv group. I dont know what else it could be... what is your idle set to ?

1000 rpm idle still wouldn't cause that. Only thing it can be is the torque converter. Is it the correct converter for that trans? Have you identified the trans correctly and bought the right TC?

Is the TC fully on the trans and not pinched?

Even with a manual trans idling in gear at 1000 rpm, the rear brakes alone should stall the engine out.

Even with a manual trans in gear at 1000rpm, properly working brakes will stall the engine out.

Now I am really confused.

Is the vehicle sitting on the ground? If it is sitting on the ground, what happens when you put it in gear? Does it stall out or just idle?

Let me note that my truck will idle on concrete and spin the back tires without stalling and without moving - this is where I was going at first. Been their done that while pulling a tree. Gotta love the 4bt.
